Build — on a male subject
Do build tags move the silhouette in steps?
Build is a real need in character design. Rendered as a row of female figures the same tags read as a rating chart rather than a reference sheet, so this comparison uses a male subject.
The clothing is a loose t-shirt and trousers. Anything fitted would have turned this into a comparison of garments rather than of builds.
Every cut below shares one seed, one base prompt and one sampler setting, and differs only by the tag marked in amber.
What each cut shows
skinny- Shoulders narrow and the limbs thin out; width against height drops clearly.
muscular- Shoulders broaden and the torso approaches a V — the largest change of the four.
plump- The torso thickens, though not by much — a smaller move than the gap to
muscular. fat- Barely separable from
plump; the two steps collapse into one.
How these were made
Shared prompt
masterpiece, best quality, amazing quality, very awa, 1boy, solo, adult man, short black hair, plain t-shirt, trousers, full body, straight-on, plain grey background, <tag slot>
Tap a tag to carry it over to the builder
Negative prompt
nsfw, 1girl, nude, topless, bikini, swimsuit, lingerie, underwear, cleavage, suggestive, school uniform, pleated skirt, child, loli, teenage, bad quality, worst quality, worst detail, censor, jpeg artifacts, watermark, signature, text, extra limbs, bad hands, bad anatomy

Takeaway
The lean and muscular ends separate cleanly; the heavier end collapses two steps into one. Fine gradations of weight need more than a tag.
How far this result reaches
Loose clothing hides the build. Seeing more of it takes fitted clothing, which moves the comparison onto the garment.
Measured on a single Stable Diffusion family checkpoint. The same tags can behave differently on NovelAI, Midjourney or another checkpoint. This is a reference point, not a verdict.
