Light from behind. The hair and shoulder line catch a bright edge while the face darkens. What people call rim light actually comes from this tag.
A closer look
Of the four, this is where the lighting tag shows most clearly. Light haloes along the outline of her hair and a soft glow catches the left shoulder, while the front of the blouse sinks into the dimmest, greyest tone of the set. The face is only a little darker, so if you wanted a true silhouette with the face in deep shadow, this tag alone did not go that far. Her eyes are half-lowered.
