What this cut shows
It does not turn black and white; the colour only thins a little. greyscale strips the background completely, though in the art-medium comparison some colour stayed on the figure.
A closer look
The palette is the most subdued of the four, yet the jeans are still plainly blue and the bricks still pinkish. Only the blouse is painted a purer white than in any other cut, and the far stretch of the path is scattered with small flecks like a stipple texture. Composition and hair almost match the lineart cut, so side by side, all this tag added was a little less colour and those speckles.
