Do hairstyle tags build the actual shape?
Hair does more for a character's read than almost anything else, and the more specific the name, the more accurate the result.
Only the hairstyle tag differs between the four prompts. Even so, the bun and ponytail cuts changed the clothing as well.
Every cut below shares one seed, one base prompt and one sampler setting, and differs only by the tag marked in amber.
What each cut shows
hime cut- Straight fringe, short side lengths, long at the back — all three parts arrive.
twin braids- Braided down both sides, with the weave itself drawn in.
double bun- Two round buns high on either side — the placement is right too.
high ponytail- Gathered high near the crown, at the height the name specifies.

Takeaway
Along with props, hairstyle is the most accurately reproduced axis measured here. The more defined the shape in the name, the better it lands.
How far this result reaches
A hat covers the top of the head. In the headwear comparison, though, the hair stayed visible under all four hats, and only the witch hat changed its length.
